CYCLES OF DELIGHT: The continuing sages
Ms. Rosa pictured here with literally The Fruits of Her Labor! These mangoes and such are only a wee fraction of the masses of organic fruit on their farm, all from trees they planted themselves under Permaculture standards. Luscious!
I must throw in this smidgeon of beautiful weirdness. After a death-defying return back in the boat through some "small" storms, we had to make a mad dash to Todd Rundgren's house (Yup!) for an impromptu potluck to host Michael Thoms, the host of an amazing, earth-conscious, long-running radio show who is one of Rosa's latest heroes. The house is filled with Fan Gift for Todd, like this extra special "Gourd Portrait." Todd is not much of a party guy, but he and I had the same sense of latent, avoid-the-rush mentality and shook hands at the buffet table. Nifty. He and his rad wifey Michelle (formerly of The Tubes!) even have a tiki bathroom with one of his solo albums resting on the back of the john. Classy.
